FIFA WORLD CUP 2026

In June 2026, Foxborough will host FIFA World Cup matches at Gillette Stadium. It’s a once-in-a-generation moment for our town, and we’re excited to welcome visitors from around the world!

We also know this will be a big lift. Game days will NOT be business as usual — they will bring heavier traffic, more activity near the stadium and along major routes, and other changes that may feel disruptive at times. The Town is working closely with state, regional, and federal partners to plan for transportation, public safety, infrastructure, communication, and more.

This page is your central source for reliable, up-to-date information. You’ll find what to expect, what may be changing, and where to go with questions. We’ll update this page regularly as new information becomes available.

Transportation & Traffic Impacts

Travel conditions will NOT be the same as a regular game day.

The World Cup is expected to bring a much larger number of visitors than a typical Patriots game or concert. Residents and businesses should plan ahead.

International Visitors

Foxborough will welcome thousands of visitors from around the world during the FIFA World Cup!

Many visitors will speak different languages and may be unfamiliar with local laws, transportation systems, and community norms. This is normal for an event of this size and provides an opportunity for us to show what makes Foxborough such an amazing, welcoming community.

Residents and businesses can help by:

• Using clear, simple language when offering directions or assistance.

• Using technological tools when helpful, such as Google Translate.

• Providing easy-to-read signage with clear symbols when possible.

• Showing patience and empathy in busy or high-stress situations.

• Remembering that visitors may not know local rules or expectations.

Hosting the world is a big moment for our Town - a little extra patience and compassion will go a long way!

At the same time, all local, state, and federal laws apply to everyone. Respectful, lawful, and safe behavior is expected from both residents and visitors.
