Norfolk County Mosquito Control District – Aerial Larval Control Notice
The Norfolk County Mosquito Control District (NCMCD) will be conducting aerial larval control applications in Foxborough and surrounding areas beginning this month and continuing through October, weather permitting.
These applications are performed using helicopters and are part of the district’s integrated pest management program to reduce mosquito populations before they hatch.
What You Need to Know:
-
This is not a spray. The applications involve a granular biological larvicide (not a chemical spray).
-
The larvicide targets mosquito larvae in wetland areas only.
-
This method is considered safe for humans, pets, and the environment and is approved by state and federal environmental agencies.
