Protect the Environment...
Protect those around you...

*Always check the medicine information leaflet that came with your prescription for drug-specific disposal instructions.
*Some medications are very dangerous and require IMMEDIATE disposal.  When a take back option is not readily available or if they will not accept your type of medication, these medicines should be flushed.  For a list of what can be flushed and FDA's response to the impacts of flushing medicines on the environment, click here.

*Twice a year, the the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) holds National Drug Take Back Day.  For those cities and towns across the U.S. that do not have year-round disposal means, it provides citizens a safe, convenient and anonymous means of disposing prescription and over the counter drugs...with the goal of keeping it out of the wrong hands and from harming the environment.

*Foxborough generally will take part in this collection.  A flyer will always be posted on our website as dates and participation are confirmed.

*Learn more about this semi-annual event at the "Take Back Day" website.
