Mild Drought Declared

NOTICE FROM EEA

October 21, 2024:

On October 11, 2024, Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Rebecca Tepper declared a Level 1-Mild Drought in the Boston Harbor Basin. The Foxborough Water Department has sources in the Boston Harbor Basin. 

Due to this declaration, The Foxborough Water Department is required to restrict all nonessential outdoor water uses to no more than one day per week. Outdoor watering by users with odd-numbered addresses is restricted to Mondays only before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. Outdoor watering by users with even-numbered addresses is restricted to Fridays only before 9:00 am and after 5:00 pm. However, watering of ornamentals and flower gardens with drip irrigation, hand-held hose, or watering cans is permitted.
